Hogwarts uniforms aside, something about the way you paint Hermione and Pansy in this particular image makes me think of Amy Dallon/Panacea and Taylor Hebert/Skitter from John C. "Wildbow" McCrae's epic superhero web serial Worm. Those two were not on friendly terms canonically, but they're an extremely popular pairing, as either best friends or lovers, in Worm fanfic because of the potential synergy between their superpowers. Amy is canonically lesbian; Taylor isn't, but making her bi is also a common fanfic trope (as it is for just about every character in every work in existence, for that matter). In particular, I'm reminded of TanaNari's fanfic "Amelia," posted at SufficientVelocity and AO3.
Amy's hair is brown and curly like Hermione's, and she's several inches shorter than Taylor, and generally portrayed in both canon and fanfic as the gentler of the two. She uses her power for healing, but it's potentially far broader than that -- she's a biokinetic, able to alter the biology of any living thing she touches in almost any way she can imagine. Taylor is more of a fighter, with the power to sense and control to an incredibly fine degree every single insect, spider, other arthropod or worm within about a 1,000-foot radius of her. Her hair is nearly black, like Pansy's here; I don't recall if it ever gets cut this short in canon, but considering some of the supervillains she tangles with, it could easily have gotten burned and had to be cut to even it out.
